A Steward is defined as a person who manages another's property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another or other.
At Trinity, we exercise stewardship individually by the generous use of the time, talent, and treasure that God has entrusted to us.
By considering our gift to the church as a proportion of income, we establish priorities that reflect our relationship with God. Determining our giving to God through the church requires prayer and faith. Biblical tradition, as well as the teaching of the Episcopal Church, suggests the practice of giving away 10% (a tithe) of our income.
For some, giving back 10% (or more) of their annual household income is a daunting challenge. This is why stewardship is about growth. It encourages us to assess where we are in returning a substantial proportion of our blessings back to God out of gratitude for everything we have been given. It is about finding the level of giving that brings us joy because giving is our investment in the future of God's work.
All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God.
We are created in the image of a generous, loving, and caring God
God calls us to be generous and loving as He is generous and loving
